Some of you may recall from a previous update that in October 2023, I had the distinct privilege of being invited by Channel 4 and the Grand Designs production team to join them on set in Herefordshire. My task was to capture architectural images for an episode of their latest series. As someone with a deep passion for architecture and as a long-time fan of the show, this was an extraordinary opportunity for me. I was responsible for photographing the building, as well as taking portraits of the show’s host, Kevin McCloud, and the homeowners. The entire experience was both professionally enriching and personally meaningful.
In early 2024, I was thrilled to be approached by the production company with the exciting news that they were considering using some of the images I had taken for their upcoming coffee table book, Grand Designs at 25. This special publication is a celebration of the best projects featured during the 25-year history of Grand Designs. In September 2024, the book was officially released, and I was absolutely delighted to see my work included in such a prestigious volume. It was a particularly proud moment to discover that one of my photographs had been featured in a stunning double-page spread! I am still in awe to see my images in print, and I couldn’t be more pleased with this incredible milestone.
