These images of flooring in a London bar and restaurant highlight the skill needed when balancing natural daylight with artificial tungsten and florescent lights. The wooden flooring had recently been laid and was already seeing ‘action’ when I visited during the first week of customers enjoying the newly refurbished areas. I accessed the venues before opening time on two August mornings to get my shots and willingly helped ensure the flooring was at its cleanest. These images will be used for a sales brochure case study showcasing the flooring installed on site. Therefore, it was crucial to capture the correct colour and texture of the wooden flooring by balancing out the mixed lighting sources.
