I was recently asked to produce a number of images for DATS Print Services Ltd, a high-quality and busy printers based in Northamptonshire. Inside their humble and unassuming premises dedicated staff design and print a number of products for wealth of clients big and small, including world-leading leading names in the hospitality and corporate sectors. My brief was to capture the scale of the print operations as well as the attention to detail each print job is given by their expert staff. The photography of the print room was unobtrusive, ensuring staff weren’t too distracted from their roles by capturing a documentary style of photography. I was also privileged to be given free reign of the print room and able to photograph detail shots of print machinery and parts which can be used as background details across a number of mediums. Headshots of key members of staff was also untaken to create a ‘Meet the Team’ section on their website and literature. These headshots help create a sense of ‘knowing & trust’ between the client and company and put a face to a name during a phone conversation or email enquiry.
